The WhatsApp Business App is a free mobile application from Meta designed for small business owners, installed on a single phone, supporting up to one operator, with features like quick replies, business profiles, and automated greeting messages, but without true automation or multi-user support.

The WhatsApp Business App and the WhatsApp Business API are completely different products despite the similar names. The app is downloaded like any consumer app, tied to one phone and one SIM, and intended for sole proprietors and small shops who want a slightly more business-like experience than personal WhatsApp. Features include a business profile (address, hours, website), quick replies, automated greetings and away messages, and basic message labels for organization.

The app does not support multiple agents, automation logic beyond auto-replies, integrations with CRMs or e-commerce platforms, or AI agents.
